The Lab

It was always about taste.

We wanted the best flavor from the very first day, and there was never just one answer to that. Glass is part of it, but even the best glass is only as good as the heat behind it. And once you ask where that heat comes from, the questions start to multiply.

Two pieces with identical specifications can behave very differently once heated. That difference is physics, and physics can be tested and measured. So we focused on one variable at a time, and held everything else constant.

More than a dozen channels, one variable at a time.

Somewhere along the way, this became a library of technology from all over the world. No two pieces alike, each with its own physical characteristics. We rebuilt whole setups from parts that were never meant to be hanging out together outside of a display shelf.

But we weren't satisfied. Modification only reaches so far, because at some point the limits are built into the design itself. So we started designing from scratch, for our own lab first.

We had to ask, "Are our standards unreasonable?" No, they aren't.

HighTasteLab is for everyone who feels the same about taste.

The Planck

It was always about the science.

Max Planck solved the physics of thermal radiation. For a device whose whole job is putting heat exactly where it belongs, no other name was ever in the running.

The Planck is a mobile dual heat station. Dual is not a flourish, it is the layout. Two independently controlled channels keep two pieces of your own equipment ready at once, glass as well as heads, across a range nobody else covers. One piece rests while the other works, so the session never has to stop.

Mobile, app-controlled, two independent channels.

Portable devices have been around for a while, but they compromise engineering and taste alike. We didn't want to leave the best glass at home. We wanted it right there with us, at events, at festivals, camping, or on the beach.

That is why everything runs on low voltage, harmless to people and built for true battery operation, with the newest generation of cells inside. Packs swap during operation. It charges from any grid in the world, and at a pinch from none at all. The sun will do, and the matching solar panel is already tested.

Precision gets the same attention. The controller is industrial grade, calibrated and adjusted by us, unit by unit, before it ever ships, repeatable to a hundredth of a degree. The same setting gives you the same result, today, next week, anywhere. An app brings presets and updates, and if you would rather leave the phone in your pocket, every function works on the device itself.

The answer, as always, is science.

How It's Built

It was always about professional quality.

Once the research led us to a custom device, the development had to match. Electronics, control, and housing are designed for us and built for us, nearly all of it in Europe — zero off-the-shelf parts. The aluminium housings are CNC-machined in Germany, where German engineering is a place rather than a slogan.

Our small international team consists of electronics engineers, metal machinists, design specialists, and pro judges on international tasting panels. The circuit was developed together with researchers from a renowned university. And when you have a question, the answer comes from the people who built the machine, not from a call center.

Electronics, firmware and app — all our own.

Every device is assembled and calibrated individually, in small series. That is not a stopgap on the way to mass production, it is the concept. What is built one at a time can be matched to your existing equipment. And it is made to last, built for continuous duty, for bars and events that run a device all day, and just as much for the home, because the standard does not depend on a business license.

Quality and professional expertise, from the first step to the last.

What's Next

It was always about the experience.

We aren't done. The Planck is the beginning of a line, not a final destination, and there are far more ideas on the table than fit into one device. Heating is where it starts, not where it ends. Heat is one half of the physics, cold is the other, and over the coming months the line will grow until every step of the process has a device of its own. The destination is a complete tasting bar.

The first piece of what’s next.

We do have boundaries. Our focus is the electronics, so we build what measures, controls, and heats. We do not make glass or attachments, and that is deliberate, because others have been doing it brilliantly for decades. For those parts, we are working with renowned manufacturers on matched special editions.

The Planck is where the tasting bar begins, and even if a heat station is not what you are after, what follows might be. Put your name on the list below, and you will hear about every piece first.

Availability

The first devices leave the lab in late 2026, built in small series and sold here directly.

The moment they are ready, our shop goes live. Leave your address below and you will hear the day it opens — before anyone else.
